Abstract:

Authors indicate, there are not enough papers of studying the specific individual-typological morpho-functional development of the young men, engaged skiing and biathlon, especially in conditions of Siberia. In spite of the fact that there are data about morphological criteria of selection of sportsmen, functional features of "skiers-racers" and biathlonists athletes till now are not studied. Moreover, there are no data on features of constitutional type of sportsmen depending on sports specialization.
For an estimation the morphofunctional development of athletes 17-21-years-old functional status, body type, cardio-respiratory system, and type of neuro-muscular apparatus were studied. Mezomorphic type was characterized by greater muscular strength and predominance of the "miksts", ectomorphic type had the best reserves of the cardio-respiratory system and the greater number of "stayers". Athletes of high sport qualifications possessed predominantly the mezomorphic balanced physique.

Keywords:

skiers, biathlonists, èctomorphy, mezomorphy, functional reserves, "sprinters", "miksts", "stayers".
