Process of demographic ageing: essence, features and consequences in the world countries

Abstract: 

In article the author analyzes process of aging of the population. The purpose of this article is to show population aging as a universal tendency of demographic development. It is noted that the process of population aging goes two ways: both "from above", and "from below". The major factors which have caused this process are revealed. The comparative characteristic of population aging in economically developed and developing countries is given. Demographic and social and economic consequences of this process are characterized.
