Abstract:

As a result of a screening study of the levels of physical health and physical preparedness first-year students of 2011-2012 academic year, the Tuvan State University found that the coefficient of physical preparedness in 52% studied young men corresponds to the average level of 48% - above the average level of physical health in 92% of the patients above average, 8% - the average. A somewhat different pattern was observed in girls: the coefficient of physical preparedness in 43% of girls corresponds to the below average, at 57% - the average. Physical health, 96% of girls are average, only 6% - above the average. Less physical development level of the girls can be explained by the higher sensitivity of the female body to environmental factors: the difficult socio-economic, climatic and geographical conditions of the region as well the lower physical activity by girls
