Management culture and organization of labor in industry in the Tyumen region (1964–1985)

Abstract: 

The paper analyzes the problems of using the principles of scientific management in industry in the Tyumen region in the mid-1960s and early-1980s.
The interest for the issue of management culture and work organization in enterprises of the Tyumen region arose in the mid-1960s., and its solution, as the party and the government officials supposed, was closely bound to the growth of industrial efficiency. However, the excessive centralization of the “NOT”, personnel shortages and weak motivational factor restrained creativity and scientific approach to solving organizational and regulatory problems
