Abstract:

The general questionnaire SF-36 («SF-36 Health Status Survey») was used to examine the quality of life (QоL) in 76 patients with terminal chronic renal failure who are treated by program hemodialysis (PGD) in the regional nephrological center in Novosibirsk. It is shown that the parameters of QoL of patients on the PGD in the majority scales SF-36 is lower than in the healthy population and depend on a series of characteristics of the patients. Detected the negative effect of age, duration of treatment of PGD mainly on physical indicators of QoL, and increased frequency of hospitalization - at the mental components of QoL. Availability of employment with a predominantly intellectual character of work increases the selected indicators of physical and mental health, while increasing the number of hospitalizations negative impact of the mental components of QOL of hemodialysis patients
