Abstract:

The article outlines the problems of contemporary education. It examines the core principles of the synergetic approach. The authors provide a comparative analysis of educational management based on the synergetic approach. Education interacts with all social institutions not only meeting social demand but also shaping a new reality. Analysing the relationship between traditions and innovations in education, the authors emphasise the special role of tradition in manageability of education and successful socialisation of new generations. If innovations, as a means of changing the system, are not balanced with long-established traditions of education, they can lead to undermining its core foundations. Therefore, it is particularly important to ensure culture-centeredness of higher education institutions as guardians of the sociocultural code of the Russian people.
